Connecting the Universe Music is an independent record label, origionally designed to serve as music for massage therapists, now benefits just about anyone seeking atmosphere for relaxation and pure enjoyment. Detaching the World Vol. 1 (January 2002), Detaching the World Vol. 2 (November 2003), Detaching the World Vol. 3 (March 2004) and Detaching the World Vol. 4 (April 2005) were all created under the advisement of a professional massage therapist and her staff. Ideas were collectively put to use so that a wide variety of listeners would benefit.

In the early days, musician Emil Gagliardi had trouble receiving massage due to the incomplete atmosphere that most relaxation music provided during his sessions. The music was never appropriate for creating balance and was often times shorter than the massage. When creating the Detaching the World series, these details were key for him to perfect.

All Detaching the World CDs (each over 60 minutes) contain a unique balance of consistent blissful ambient guitar music with no volume or tempo changes. Detaching the World's instrumentation is made up only of special ambient guitars. There are no synthesizers, percussion, vocals, birdcalls, or obstructive sounds used in any Detaching the World composition.

Although Detaching the World's music has been proven as miraculous for massage therapy, it also provides an exceptionally calming atmosphere for meditation, yoga, Reiki, T’ai Chi, hospice work, cooking, painting and of course, pure relaxation.

Upon early completion of Detaching the World Vol. 4, a limited edition was released and quickly sold out at the 22nd 2005 Annual AMTA New England Regional Conference. The highly anticipated Detaching the World Vol. 4 is now available for purchase on our website.
